St. George

We decided to spend our Valentines Day weekend in St. George. I tend to get a little bit of cabin fever this time of the year and was really wanting some sun. It was perfect! The mornings were a little cold but by the afternoons it was in the high 60's! We even got to go swimming in an outdoor pool (heated of course) and spent lots of time outside with no jackets!
The first night we were there Andrew was exhausted because he had gone in to work at 3 in the morning so we could get down there a little earlier. After he crashed at 6:30, AnDee and I had to find ways to entertain ourselves while stuck in the hotel room. Thank goodness for stickers.(caution: naked baby pic....and yes she is totally staring at herself in the mirror)

We didn't do a whole lot. Just relaxed and went with the flow. We spent a lot of time at the park and Buggy was in heaven!

We also hiked to the quarry that they got all the rock for the temple foundation. Buggy was awesome, she walked most of the way there and some of the way back. Probably about a mile and a half in all. Thats a long way for such little legs!
This was also fun because the airport was directly across from us so AnDee got to see all the "cockies" She is SOOOOO obsessed with airplanes and helicopters. She has been asking to go back since the second we left.
Please no comments about how gigantic I am... I already know, it doesn't need to be said.

We went to the temple on Sunday and to much to our pleasant surprise, the temple grounds were open as well as the visitors center so we spent a couple of hours there. It was the perfect sunday activity.

We decided to spend our last evening there back at the park where we found this guy...

We were there for at least a couple of hours and the entire time we were there this man clapped his own beat and sang songs. He couldn't hold a tune and often didn't know the words to the songs he was belting out but he improvised and either made up his own words or mumbled through them. He would stop in between songs and thank everyone and tell them who the artist was (it didn't seem to matter that everyone at the park was trying their best to pretend he wasn't there)
Needless to say, I was entertained and it definitely made me smile. What a happy little man :)

  1. You should have thrown him a few quarters or something, and fulfilled his dream of making money with his singing talent. :) This looks like so much fun! And the fact that your kid it covered in stickers solidifies the fact that she is the coolest :)
