CAUTION! Graphic Image.

AnDee's baby "cheep cheeps" hatched last weekend. It was so fun to watch and to watch her watch. She was SOOO excited. Now I can't get her to leave them alone. Poor little things. They  are so tiny (quail) I don't know if they are going to be able to hold up to her "love".
We took some pics of them hatching. You may or may not find these pics really gross... viewers discretion is advised.

Not the cutest thing in the whole world is it?
Don't worry, once the goo dries up they get a little cuter.

In other news...

Pep loves him some corn!
He is a full fledged walker now and has added a couple words to his vocabulary (uh oh and Gayle) he answers "yeah!" to just about every question and on very rare occasions blows kisses

Her Fathers Child

Not only does my daughter look just like her dad (aside from the ONE blue eye she got from me, of course) But she apparently acquired his climbing skills as well. We took her to the sport mans Expo last weekend and she was obsessing over the climbing wall they had there so we thought we would let her give it a try. Im pretty sure she was THE ONLY two year old to attempt it and Im positive she is the only kid her age that climbed to the top of that thing (Ok... if I being honest she was like 4 feet from the top when she slipped) She can't stop talking about it. I guess we are going to have to try to get the the climbing gym more often from now on.
its an awful pic, I know
She also got to shoot a real bow.
And we got to see a baby bear and watch the dogs in the dock diving competition. AnDee says she is going to train hunter and enter him next year. I believe her.

So one of the neighbor boys got some little tiny baby goats and my parents are letting him keep them in their pasture, so of course my kids can't get enough of them. They are pretty darn cute though.

he walks!

He definitely isn't comfortable enough to just walk any where or all the time but he can if he wants to and its super cute.

He also has 4 new teeth (that all came in at the same time) on the top and Im pretty sure there are more coming but he won't let me get in there to look. He has added the word "yeah!" to his vocabulary so now we are up to 4 recognizable words. "mama" "dada" "what" and "yeah". He is such a good baby and so so so sweet!

Moab

We spent this last weekend partying in Moab... and by "partying" I actually mean going to bed at 8:30 and taking lots of naps. We did have fun though! We went to Gemini Bridges, The Arches, Dead horse point, the river and of course, Moab Diner. Love. We love Moab. Yes it is full of weird hippies but thats kind of our style. We love the laid back nature of the town and we LOVE that there is always something fun to do (it also helped that it was super warm and we also LOVE the sun)
We camped in tents... played in and ate sand (Pep) and hiked and hiked and hiked. AnDee hiked all the way to Delicate Arch all by herself (with a very short (5 min) shoulder ride from mom)
and now for the  pics...
Gemini Bridges

 Dead horse point

After a fall in the river AnDee ended up in a jacket with no pants
Dave and Hunter playing a very serious game of fetch

Betty watching Dave and Hunter playing a very serious game of fetch
 Delicate Arch
 He went from this....
to this, in about .03 seconds
 Dave REALLY liked the arches??

The giant sand hill we climbed

See us all the way at the top?
And the boy even got his very first sun burn! He apparently does not have his dads skin because that red on his little arms was brown the next day.

My Boy and His Car Obsession

Ok... it doesn't have to just be cars. Anything drivable. He is COMPLETELY obsessed. He pushed them all over the house and is entertained for hours. If we are being honest it doesn't even actually have to have wheels. He will pretend if needs be. I have seen him turn things like remote controls, phones and even my shin guards in to cars. Every once in a while Andrew will let him sit in the front seat of the car and "drive" he goes crazy with the steering wheel and he suddenly becomes the happiest kid in the world.

The beginnings of spring?

Yesterday was wonderful. Over 60 degrees and sun shining. LOVE. We took advantage and headed to Adventure Land Park. We fed the ducks and played on the toys and AnDee made some friends. Good times for all!

Yup.. he is totally eating the bread intended for the ducks

What a cheese ball

People at the park thought this was so funny... a little tiny girl walking a big dog.  Obviously they don't know Betty.

Poor Pep.

What a superb and sunshiny day. Makes for happy kids and a happy mom.

Random questions about me..

Don't want to read this?? I don't blame you. But one of my favorite people in the whole world tagged me (Im not sure if "tagged" is the correct blogger word but thats what Im using) to answer some random questions and then I get to tag some of you so.. here they are!

1. If you could be a superhero, what would your super powers be?
Why are these questions so hard? I have been sitting here arguing with myself about what super power I want for the last ten minutes. How do you decide on something as big as this? If I had to answer I would probably say.... whatever power Ironman has. Genius maybe?... that and a TON of money.  I guess he doesn't actually have a "superpower" but the dude is incredible and gets to do it all! He even flies! Plus he is just incredibly witty and has really awesome toys.
2. Hot dogs or hamburgers?
Hamburgers. Duh.
3. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
My selfishness. I fight it! I do but it wins way too often. Hate it.
4. In the next life, when we are all perfect :) what age would you be?
I was going to say like 11 or so but thats only because it was such a fun age but I think as far as when I have felt the most "perfect" was at about 22. Although it wasn't my most favorite time in life. Physically I think I was at my peak... and then I had a baby.
5. Tell me your favorite movie and why it is.
I literally CAN NOT pick just one. I can't do it. Can I give a few? First I would probably say Drop Dead Fred. Why? Because it brings back superb memories of my childhood and mostly my sister. Next, Now and Then because again... it brings back the best memories of my best friends growing up. And last would probably be either Billy Madison or Emperors New Groove because they make me laugh... historically... every time. None of these movies have real thick plots or amazing acting (lets be honest.. most of these movies don't even really have good plot s or decent acting. But all of them have made me relax or laugh or feel at home at one time or another. I could just add and add to this list.
6. What would your dream vehicle be?
Honestly? I don't even know anymore. I have always wanted a fully restored '67 Camero or of course my GMC truck but really... I don't care anymore as long as it runs and gets my where I want to go, Im ok with it.
7. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you'd do with your new found wealth?
Id like to say that Id be smart with it and invest it all but the first thing I would probably do is travel. Maybe go back to Tanzania and find Melkiory?
8. If you could spend an hour with anyone (alive or dead) who would it be?
Another one that I don't know if I can answer... I guess Im going to throw out the cliche again and say Christ but if not Christ either his Mother Mary (I am so fascinated by her) or Abraham.
9. Where would you like to see yourself in 10 years?
Where would I LIKE to see myself? or where do I realistically see myself? Id LIKE to see myself living with my beautiful family in Europe or some incredible tropic island and I would LIKE us to have so much money that my husband doesn't have to work and we can just play play play all the time. But.... realistically I would like us to probably have a couple more kids, in a nice but not extreme home with land... lots of land. I wanna be a soccer mom and hopefully be doing a good job at getting my children to independently make good choices. I just want my family happy.
10. If we had the "beam me up Scottie" technology- where on earth would you travel to?
Finally an easy one. Barcelona, Camp Nou. Barce vs. Real Madrid... El Classico! Sigh....
11. If you had to change into either a dolphin or a falcon which would you become?
After much deliberation I have to go with Falcon. Although I ADORE dolphins and the Ocean is incredible.... its scares the boogers outta me. Seriously, Im terrified. I can't even tell you why for sure but I am.  And so I will go with falcon. It suits me better. The mountains are so much more comfortable for me and flying? yes please.
ok now I get to tag or spotlight (again I don't know which to call it) some of you my dear friends! and the lucky winners are...
Um... I don't have enough friends to spotlight 11 people.. at least not without spotlighting someone who  has already been spotlighted? spotlit? huh... I knew there was a reason I used "tagged". anyhow.. anyone who I didn't tag and would like to answer the questions, please do. (cough cough kira, bradie)

Here are your 11 questions should you choose to play along
1. Were you named after someone and if so whom?
2. If you were another person, would you be friends with you?
3. What is the first thing you notice about people?
4. Who do you miss at the moment?
5. Mountain hideaway or beach house?
6. What is the farthest you have been from home?
7. City or country?
8. Would you bungee jump?
9. Favorite sport to watch?
10. Favorite school teacher and why?
11. What do you want to do when you retire?
